B.C held. - Robert was born at the corner Cook & Victoria Rds Marrickville NSW.
His father, James was 33 and a butcher. His mother, Alice was 28.
B.C. - Siblings at the time were Doris 3 & Linda 1 (none Deceased).

WW2roll - Robert served in the Aust Army NX33172, Private, 1 APSC (STAFF). He enlisted in Lismore.

M.C. held - Robert married Gladys (divorced) at age 31. He was a meatworker and lived at the
Commonwealth Hostel, Bulimba. They had one son, Ian Robert.

D.C.held - .Robert died at 83 at Greenslopes Private Hospital of septic shock, etc.

He was cremated on 16 Jul 1997. His ashes are at Bribie Memorial Gardens.

OCCUPANTS' ESCAPE
Unusual circumstances were associated with a collision between two motor cars, in Molesworth street, Lismore, on Saturday morning. Although the cars crashed with considerable force, the occupants were not injured.
The accident occurred in front of the Pederalette Theatre, when a small roadster owned and driven by Mr. John Joseph Buckley, school teacher, of Rosebank, crossed *the centre of the road in front of a bigger sedan driven' by Mr. Robert Montgomery, a butcher's employee, and owned by Mr. E. Caldwell.
APPLIED BRAKES
When Mr. Montgomery, who was travelling towards the post office, observed the smaller car crossing the roadway he smartly applied the brakes. He was then about 25 yards
away from the smaller car. Almost simultaneously the off side rear axle of his car broke. The wheel flew high in the air and grazed the driver's seat. The vehicle dropped on the road, but its weight carried it into the smaller car. The car driven by Mr. Buckley was
the most damaged as a result of the actual collision. The running board and valances were crumpled, and the mudguards were pushed in. The mud guards and headlight's of Mr. Cald
well's car were damaged.

BRUNSWICK HEADS, Sunday.-Two vehicles were extensively damaged in a collision
at the intersection of Nana and Tweed Streets this afternoon. They were driven by Robert
John .Montgomery, of Corn Street, Holland Park, Brisbane and Rupert Grenville Ivey, of
Coolangatta Guest House, Coolangatta.

Young Woman Remanded
Phyllis Irene Neaves (20) was charged in the Lismore Police Court yesterday, before Mr. E. H. Kelly, J.P., that she married at Casino on May 12, 1934, Harold Percival Neaves, and, that while she was so married, married at Lismore on December .10, 1937, Robert John
Montgomery, Harold Percival Neaves being then alive.On the application of the police, Neaves was remanded to appear at Lismore Police Court on Monday, bail self in £10 with one surety in a like amount being allowed.
