• Census. Nicholas was a Labourer. 1841 Census Shows - Nicholas REED (Ag. Lab. - age 55) living at Silver Hill, Helston with his wife Ann (age 45) and their children Dorcas (Dress Maker - age 15), Ann (age 10) and Eliza (age 8). [The building nextdoor was the workhouse]. HO107 / 139/8 42 33. 1851 Census Shows - Nicholas REED (Labourer - age 71) living two houses away from his son Nicholas REED at 130 Wendron Street, Helston, Cornwall with his wife Ann (age 60). HO107 / 1912 413 39. 1861 Census Shows - Nicholas REED (Ag Labourer -age 81- Formerly of Wendron) living at 40 Meneage Street, Helston, Cornwall with his wife Ann (age 70) and their daughter Ann (Stay Maker - age 33). GR9 / 1572 6 8. (Nicholas REED of Helston and Ann REED of St Keverne are show as 'Helston Strays' at the time of 1861 Census.) Nicholas died aged 84. Death Registration - Vol 5c Page 170.
