  General Notes:

From 1851 UK Census, - Cornwall volume 34 Redruth Union Registration District Folio 192 lists under COAD - Elizabeth age 2; John Rogers 8m; and Jane 27. No listing for John Coad (father) there. This infers her birth as 1824.
Arrived 'unassisted' on 'Champion of the Seas' to Melbourne in November 1858: Jane, aged 34, with infant, Thomas aged 11, Elizabeth aged 9, John R. aged 7.
A birth at sea is recorded in the Vic Pioneers for an 'M' to John Coad and Jane Rogers in 1858. Then a Jane Rogers Coad married a William Canons in 1864 with no births recorded in Victoria.
John Coad had died in Cornwall in 1854.
Victorian Shipping Records 1852-59: Arrived Melbourne, on the 'Champion of the Seas", November 1858 (reference Code B, fiche 153, page 004): Jane Coad, aged 34 Thomas Coad, aged 11 Elizabeth Coad, aged 9 John R Coad, aged 7 Infant Coad (no age) - born at sea as above.
From Creswick & Clunes Advertiser 12 Aug 1864 24 Aug 1864 Marriages: Cannons to Coad - On Tuesday evening, August 9, by the Rev J B Steel, at the Bride's residence, Victoria street, William Cannons to Mrs Jane Coad, relict of Mr John Coad, St Day, Cornwall.
Death of Jane Cannons possibly in 1872 (on-line Vic records) with father "Rogers John" but mother 'Ann (Reed)' is helpful.

A Jane Rogers was a Witness to the marriage of Henry Coade & Mary Rule in 1841 in Camborne, Cornwall; father was Thomas Coade who baptised three children in Camborne with wife Elizabeth: Henry 1811, Thomas 1812 and Eliza 1826; as Coad, Elizabeth 1819, Edward 1819 and Mary 1821; John COURD baptised in Camborne, 1824
Surname as 'Coode' on marriage record!
