The James Nicol we share married into my family and hence I have nothing on his family only a small amount on him himself. It appears his occupation was as a baker and he married Mary Fowler at Macduff, in Banffshire on the 13th of August 1902. Mary's father, William Fowler is most interesting. He had married twice, had thirteen children with Hellen Lyon of which Mary was the ninth born. William had been the organist at the Fyvie Church of Scotland for forty years. He was a crofter and owned a small amount of land at Cromblet just ten to fifteen km's south of Fyvie. Hellon Lyon's family lived next door.
