Noted events in his life were:

• source. Craig Taggart @ genes who writes:
Corn miller of Tadcaster & Micklegate York Robert ELLA Tadcaster, miller son of William ELLA, Borrowby, millright, by Ruth daughter of Lancelot FOREWICK(Fossick?) of Borrowby farmer
& Raymond & Marie Ella who note:
When Robert Ella (born 1768 in Borrowby village in the parish area of Leake, Yorkshire) married Elizabeth (mostly known as Betty and also Eli , etc.) Prince married at Tadcaster Parish Church in 1795, her maiden-surname then became quite Patronymic amongst some Ella family lines of descent for more than 214 years and we say this because it is still used in the West Yorkshire areas, e.g., ELLA family of Castleford.
However, it was also given to the girls in the family but on my direct (Raymond's) line of descent it was mainly given to the Williams and Roberts, e.g., my great-grandfather William Prince Ella (died Leeds Hospital 2nd of May 1903, buried back in his home-town of Castleford, some graves later moved from the churchyard to the public cemetery in Healdfield road, Castleford, but now no headstone for him ).
Perhaps the minister who married Robert and Betty at Tadcaster told them about the "Alleluia Praise" and encourage them to keep the name Prince, i.e., at the time of their marriage or when some of their children were being baptised, but this is only speculative ?, yet a minister would have known about the "Alleluia Praise" and King Ella, also his son Prince Edwin who later became King of all Northumbria and a Bretwalda.
