I have a photo copy of a specil marriage licence granted toDaniel Brassington and Mary Shaw, at Leek on 29/03/1799.In theparish records for Cheddleton it shows that on the followingday, 30/03/1799 the marriage took place by special licence andthe witnesses were Jane Rowley and Ralph Shaw (Presumably withshotgun!).
