Came across "George" as I was looking at Ackton Hall Colliery web pages. I worked there from 1963 to 1984 as an electrician. It was the first colliery to close after the miners strike. His death was registered in the second quarter of 1917.(April-May-June). District, Volume No, & Page, allow people to submit the details for a Death Certificate.
I have searched burial records of the area's cemeteries, but have found nothing.
