Hello Sharon
I have spent quite some time reading up my brothers original research on both the Henson and Price families to try and pin down Henry Price of 1700 Gotham.
I am assuming that these families were all FWKs and therefore would easily transfer themselves between Nottingham, the centre of things, and the surrounding villagers where the workers would bring in their goods to the main factories in Nottingham. Ruddington, in particular was a big centre of the framework knitting trade. In 1725 an ancestor of mine, Joseph Stevenson from Nottingham, set up an outstation at Bunny

I will start with the Henson side of things.
1695 James Henson of Bunny married Eleanor Ryse of Duffield in Sneinton Nottingham.
In 1697 they had a son Richard Henson baptised in Bunny.
About 1725 he married someone called Margaret or Margery and their children were all baptised in Bunny including Richard Henson baptised 1729.

Meanwhile in 1722 Henry Price of Gotham married Mary Pollard in Clifton (Phillimore)
They had two children Benjamin Price 1723 and Ann Price 1728. Both baptised Gotham.

Richard Henson then married Ann Price. My brother had searched all the Phillimore marriage indexes for Nottinghamshire and could not find a marriage for these two. Maybe there was no marriage.
Their children were
1752 Ann Baptised Bunny No death record found
1755 Sarah Baptised Bunny
Elizabeth No baptismal record found
1757 Richard Baptised Ruddington
1759 John Baptised Ruddington
1761 James Baptised Ruddington
1764 Henry Baptised Ruddington
1764 Ann Baptised Ruddington
1768 Mary Baptised Ruddington

In 1758 A deed of settlement ( Of which I now have a copy) was drawn up for Richard Henson, his wife Ann and children Elizabeth, Sarah and Richard in Ruddington from their previous dwelling in Beeston Nottingham.

I can’t find a record of the death of Ann nor a birth of Elizabeth so I wonder if she was born in Nottm and not registered. I suppose it is possible they lived in Nottm and had the children baptised in Bunny, it being the traditional home of the Hensons. However the rest of the children were born in Ruddington.

Do you have anything about the death of Mary Pollard? I don’t but I can only assume that after she died Henry decided to go and live with his daughter in Ruddington.

Fortunately there is a tombstone to Ann Henson (Price) and her father Henry Price at Ruddington under the altar window it reads as follows
Ann wife of Richard Henson daughter of Henry Price died June 24th 1796 aged 69
Henry Price died 1783 aged 84
This puts Ann Henson (Price) ’s dob as 1727 and Henry Price’s dob as 1699/1700
In the Ruddington Burial register in the column headed place of birth it says “not stated” on both.

In 1753 a cousin John Henson settled in Ruddington from Bunny maybe he encouraged Richard and Ann to go as well!!!
