From Charles Luya on 9/3/04: Florence Mabel Luya, Jennifer's fathers mother was a serial man chaser, she was an extremely good looking women and worked on the stage as a singer, so every opportunity she got she took. My father was convinced that Mabel Doreen Hess was his full sister, they were like two peas in a pod. My Auntie Doreen found out where she was born and it bothered her greatly. She thought she was born in the family home in New Brighton. She was in fact born in a slum in Seacombe. We never got to the end of that story. I think my Grandmother must have had affairs and two timed Cornelis Hess all the time she was married
