• note. WILLIAM BROWN ALDISS [note spelling!] born 23 March, bapt 28 March, 1810. Parents JOHN & MARY nee BROWN.
[I searched from 1801 to Mar 1810 inclusive, and the above baptism seems to have been the first one in the St Michael's register for this couple. I then checked from Mar 1810 backwards to Aug 1804 for a marriage for the couple, but no entry appeared.]
I checked for a baptism of JOHN ALDOUS from 1782 to 1791 inclusive without finding an entry.
I checked for a baptism of MARY ANN BROWN from 1785 to 1795 inclusive and found one possible entry: -
BROWN, MARY-ANN, dau of EDMUND & MARY nee PIMATT [best guess.] [Unfortunately the dates on the register are illegible on the fiche,] May 1794.
If this is the correct person, she would have to have married at a very young age for it to fit with the 1810 birth date of WILLIAM BROWN ALDISS, but as I mentioned above I cannot find such a marriage in the St Michael's registers.
