Have found a Maria Pain who married a James Harris in Somerset Engla nd in 1816 ... the right age and right birth year. A James Harris and h is wife arrived on Lady Peel with some of our Payne's in 1850. This Jame s' age was given as 34 the right age to have been Mariah's son of a marria ge to a James Harris. All conjecture until followed through a bit more.
