The Fingle Glen Mixed Open, in Greensomes format off 7/16 combined handicap, proved as popular as ever on a wonderful summers day. With the prize table split in traditional fashion the overall winners were Margaret Luke & Wayne Chant who carded 39 points. Other home players in the prizes were Becky Tilke & James Harris (37), Jane Barrett & Luke Burchell (35), Sandra Townsley & Andy Rogers (35) & Yvonne & Steve Alford (34) Angela Battershall of Downes Crediton with partner Keith Lovelock were the best visiting pair with 36 points from Sue Ray & Alan Hewings (Dainton Park) on 34, Mervyn Pullen of Exeter with partner Jenny Pullen (34) & Maureen & Peter Gliddon (Staddon Heights) also with 34 points.
James Harris (6th), Jane Lee (9th) & David Lee (14th) won the nearest the pin prizes.
