(Lambeth December 1845, 4 241) Parents given as William & Sarah Aldous (nee Blackburn) Birth Certificate held. Married 4TH July 1870 Sarah Watson. (Lambeth September 1870, 1d 363) Marriage certificate held. Witnesses were Amelia Aldous, Maria Alice Aldous and William Aldous. The address was Effra Parade. He appears on the 1881 Census with his family living at Hardess Street, Lambeth where he was employed as a Journeyman Butcher. Later occupations were Ostler, Fruiterer and Carman. On the 1901 Census he is shown living at 51 Cornwall Road, Lambeth with his son Charles. Died 16th July 1910 at 119 Cornwall Road, Lambeth (Lambeth September 191 0, 1d 140), the informant was Arthur Aldous his son. • source.
