He left Liverpool England as a young man and emigrated to Canada where he met my mother Lillian Pearl Swan, 1912, in Toronto, where I was born, the only child in 1941. Lillian was born in Saskatchewan Canada and her mother was from England and her father was from Kansas, USA. I married Elizabeth Green 1943, who was born in England and emigrated to Canada where we met. We have 3 daughters who were born in Ontario. One married but her husband had to go into a nursing home and she lives with us now. The middle daughter has not married but lives in Oshawa, Ontario as does my youngest daughter who had 2 children from different fathers neither of whom wanted to have any responsibility for them. Her children live with her not far from our home in Oshawa. The Swan family history goes back to the first English settlers in Massachusetts in the 1600's.
