My grandmother - Ruby was in the official party for the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We believe she studied at University (probably in WA) and gained a degree. We have a photo of her in a gown and mortar board - most unusual for her times. There is a street named after her family - Axon St in Subiaco.
