I was born Diana Adams. My father, John Adams, died when I was a baby. My mother, Sylvia (known as Syb) married Les in 1951 when I was 4 years old so Les became my stepfather.
He was around for about 13 years and was the only father I knew. He was a good worker '96 built and repaired things, resoled our shoes, etc.
Wendy Jane was his only child, born in 1952.
In his off time from the Fire Brigade Les also worked for Andrews Funerals at Ashfield.
Diana & David lived at "Alne Bank" '96 a Dairy farm at Gerringong for 23 years before subdividing and building a house in Gerringong.
"Alne Bank" was built by David's great great grandfather in 1850 and was a big beautiful Georgian house which required full time maintenance over the years.
