• note. ³⁶³ James Bruce Wilson b in 1839 in Lanarkshire Scot. to James Wilson and Christina Menzies, little more known until 1878-living at Wakeham St. Stawell and working as an engineer, James Bruce Wilson married Mary Anne Jenkins of Glenorchy, Vic. on 3rd July at the Royal Hotel, Glenorchy owned by her father Robert Jenkins. They had 8 children between 1878 and 1894 who were born at various locations around Vic. probably due to James working as a Civil engineer for the Vic. railways. Sands directories of Melb and Vic. show that in 1913 James was living at 3 Oak Ave.Elsternwick, Vic and that he was still residing there when he died in 1914. In 1916 Mrs Mary A Wilson lived at "Moreton" 285 Hotham St. Elsternwick. she died in 1944 and are both buried at Brighton Cemetery in the Pres. Sec.

James married Mary Elizabeth Ann Jenkins, daughter of Robert Jenkins and Emma Winnifred (Amy) Ryan, on 3 Jul 1878 in Glenorchy, Victoria Australia.³⁶³ (Mary Elizabeth Ann Jenkins was born in 1855 in Glenorchy, Victoria Australia, christened on 6 Apr 1856 in Saint Mary of The Angels Catholic, Geelong, Victoria Australia and died on 6 Jul 1944 in Elsternwick, Melbourne, Victoria Australia ³⁶³.)
