Information about Grace Hambly - by David Stitt in October 2016, details provided initially by Kathy Grant of Brisbane who was transcriber for the Cornish Parish records of St Pinnock parish (CofE) from fiche to computer then on-line. She advised that: Grace Hambly was baptised on 30 May 1784 at St Pinnock. Her parents were John and Eleanor. A note with the entry says 'pauper of Liskeard'.
Searching for a burial of an Eleanor Hambly, Kathy said St Pinnock burials on fiche for 17771812 are mostly unreadable but there is an Eleanor (surname unreadable but possibly Hambly) aged 5 or possibly aged 50 something, buried in 1806 (maybe in September). On her advice, the Cornwall Record Office were emailed with a request to search their better quality St Pinnock records for this burial. They were able to confirm that an Eleanor Hambly was buried in St Pinnock, 13 September 1806, aged "56". A copy of this record has been requested from Cornwall. John Hambly was buried in St Pinnock, 6th June, 1828, aged "79". These are almost certainly our ancestors.
Grace married Charles Truscott, son of John Truscott and Susannah Hambly, on 3 May 1807.371 (Charles Truscott was born on 29 Sep 1782 in Liskeard, Cornwall England 371 and died on 29 Jan 1855 in St Pinnock, Liskeard, Cornwall England 371.)
