Bridget Nora (Dolly) Schramm ⁶⁹⁵

Nan Lockwood (born Bridget Nora Strange Shramm - one of twins) in 1900. D. 1990. Known as Dolly. She married Pop Lockwood after the war in 1920. He served overseas. We have postcards and letters from the front. Pop died in 1950 and she remarried again in 1952 to Alfred Henry Lee d 1979. He was Hope Marion Lee's father (my mother in law) Bit convoluted (aren't all families). Lived in Hornsby, Chatswood, Gosford and then Leeton where she died. Buried at Northern Suburbs cemetery with Alfred Henry. Joseph Lockwood is in the Crematorium at Northern Suburbs. (Can supply headstone photos if you like.)

Hard to explain to everyone that my husband's paternal grandmother married his maternal grandfather (before his parents got together - so they were step family…) The families used to play cards together for many years. Just long term friends….

Unfortunately as the aunts and uncles have all passed away, we do not keep in touch as much as we should. I know Frank and Julie King did a lot of family history on the Schramms.
One of the Schramm family married into the Waterhouse family - a famous racing and bookmaking family in Australia. A claim to fame!

I got the bug with the mixed relationships and we probably keep in touch with the Lee side more. Nan and Grandfather Lee lived with Graeme as he was growing up at West Ryde.

Bridget married Joseph Charles Lockwood, son of Edward Fredrick (Fredrick) Cadogan and Elizabeth Sarah Leslie. (Joseph Charles Lockwood was born on 1 Dec 1894 in Jerrawa, NSW Australia, died on 16 May 1950 in 57 Fullers Rd, Chatswood, Sydney, NSW Australia ⁶⁹⁵ and was buried in Northern Suburbs Crematorium, Macquarie Park, Sydney, NSW Australia ⁶⁹⁵.)

Bridget next married Alfred Henry Lee in 1952.⁶⁹⁵ (Alfred Henry Lee was born circa 1895.)
