  Research Notes:

Death 15000/1894 Woonona; Richards, Henry J. Unknown parents.
"Evening News Sydney Friday 14 September 1894; Deaths:
RICHARDS.\emdash September 9, at his son's residence, Corrimal, Henry James Richards, aged 72 years. Dead, but not forgotten. Left England in 1851. Inserted by his loving sons and daughters. Home papers please copy."
If Henry died 1894 aged 72 then he was born about 1822. The tribute says he left England in 1851. These dates are contradicted below:
"Henry James Richards one of 299 convicts transported on the 'Marion', 27 September 1847. Convicted at Newcastle upon Tyne Town Assizes for a term of 10 years on 29 July 1846. Exile."
Marriage certificate dated 16th December 1865, Camperdown, Victoria. Details:
Henry aged 28, his profession was a Carrier, Birth Place Exeter, Devonshire, England. (so he was born about 1837? Or was he actually older?)
Henry's father was William Richards, a Veterinary Surgeon in London. His mother was Harriet Tuck.
Mary aged 21, Birth Place was Maybole, Scotland. Her father, James, was a Farmer. Her mother was Catherine Magee.
[Note: Maybole was the name given to the family home of Henry and Emmeline Richards].
The Minister who officiated was Henry Edmund Keen of the Bible Christians (Methodist Ministry).
The Camperdown Historical Society, who are willing to do more research for anyone who wants to do a search request through their website www.camperdownhistory.org.au. supplied the following information:
Henry James Richards came out to Australia on the "Marion" aged 16 in January 1848, (so now he's saying he was born1832?), and Mary Breakie, born 1846, came out on the "Coldstream" aged 18 in March 1864. (Public Record Office Victoria, Assisted British Immigration).
Henry Richards and Mary Beeckie's three eldest children's births were registered in Camperdown between 1866 and 1873. The next two children were registered at Ballarat, indicating they moved to that area.

Henry married Mary Beeckie, daughter of James Beeckie and Catherine Magee. (Mary Beeckie was born circa 1846 in Maybole, South Ayrshire, Scotland UK 604.)
