As regards how Jonathan Jeffreys and Annie Golding met, William Henry Golding was a tailor, and he had obviously taken on Jonathan Jeffreys as an apprentice. (In later days, the firm became Jeffreys & Golding, business by then being carried on in Clarence Street, Sydney (the building is still there). [The name "Jeffreys" had previously existed in various forms, but by the time Jonathan was born it was fixed as "Jeffreys".

It is apparent that the Golding and Andrew families were on good terms during the joint lifetimes of Victoria and Louisa and thereafter. "Mrs Golding and Mrs Andrew" put a joint notice in Sydney papers in relation to the death of their mother in 1871. William Henry Golding jnr and one of the Andrew boys were joint executors of the will of William Andrew who died in 1906. (They in fact missed dealing with one small asset in the estate...but that is another story!)

Jonathan and Annie Jeffreys had 7 children, including Helen Victoria (1888). Helen Victoria Jeffreys married Frank Wallace Wilson in 1926. My mother, Marjory Wilson, was born the following year. She married Clive Hanna in 1953, and I was born in 1956.

Jonathan married Annie Louisa Golding, daughter of William Henry Golding and Louisa Reed, in 1884 in Sydney, NSW Australia.²⁵⁴ (Annie Louisa Golding was born in 1865 in Sydney, NSW Australia and died on 8 Apr 1951 in Concord West, Sydney, NSW Australia ²⁵⁴.)
