My father's name was Edward Davies and he used to work at the woollen mills near the top of Addison Road, next to the Home of Peace. His father was John Davies. John and his brother David used to have a milk run. There were stables at the back of our house. I'm not 100% sure but I think the dairy was located in Meeks Road Marrickville.
