They lived with their family in Ballyclog, Parish of Ballyclough, now Coalisland, in County Tyrone, Ireland.
They had two sons, James and Andrew, with their families, emigrated to Australia from Kingston, on the ship "Crescent". They departed on 15th Octobert 1839 and arried in Sydney on 11th Februrary 1840. Both families settled in the Penrith-Mulgoa District, at Glenmore and Regentville. Over the years the surname has been changed (to avoid confusion between the 'same name' members i.e. cousins etc. In some instances to "Megarrity" or "Megaritty"

Patrick married Elizabeth Loughran Grey in 1804 in Ballyclough, now Coalisland, County Tyrone, Ireland UK. (Elizabeth Loughran Grey was born circa 1773 in Ballyclough, now Coalisland, County Tyrone, Ireland UK ⁴³ and died in Ballyclough, now Coalisland, County Tyrone, Ireland UK ⁴³.)
