Died 16.01.1942 Hastings District Hospital following an accident on the same day at Glebe Road, Port Macquarie. Raymond suffered head injuries from his head being crushed with the back part of a lorry against the wall of the house. Raymond and his father were loading furniture onto his father's lorry when his father reversed the truck accidentally jamming Raymond's head between the house wall and the side-board of the truck.
