Dec. ye 17th (nearly missed this as the page at Matlock Bath Archive was unreadable and had to check some typed transcriptions and then check another microfilm Phew!) 1841 Census Ref HO/107/188/19 folio 35 Daniel Calladine age 60 Coal miner Elijah Calladine aged 15 coal miner living as lodgers with a family named Bestwick Wife was Jane aged 30 so will try and find if our Jane Brown Calladine b1806 married a Christopher Bestwick (just a thought) 1851 census Ref HO107/2126 folio 86 Daniel Calladine, lodger aged 76 coal miner born Heanor living with Christopher Bestwick a widower aged 45 and his children Jane may be Daniels daughter although he is down as lodger not father-in-law. Daniel was buried at the Wesleyan Chapel Heanor March 1860.
