Don's Appletons came from St Helens, Lancashire. William Webster Appleton arrived here in 1860s, leaving a wife and 2 children in UK. He had four children to Catherine Debney in Victoria (they did not marry). He did marry Roseanne Craddock and had one child to her. His death certificate says never married, no children. His grave in Coolgardie, WA, has an impressive headstone "erected by his loving wife".
