Lydia Hosnell was she ran a boarding house circa 1900 at Shuttleton, in Nymagee, NSW.
Her husband James died 16 October 1900, leaving her a widow at age 47. Lydia Hosnell lived in 1903 at 42 Glassop St, Balmain as a domestic.

Lydia married James Brown Nicholson, son of Donald Nicholson and Margaret Francis (Fanny) Brown, on 20 Aug 1871 in St Michaels & St Johns Catholic Cathedral, Bathurst, NSW Australia. (James Brown Nicholson was born circa 1849 in NSW Australia, died on 16 Oct 1900 in Hillston, NSW Australia and was buried on 18 Oct 1900 in Hillston, NSW Australia.)
