My dad's side of the family also traces back to Scotland, as do the Nicols, but more in the Ayreshire area (Hood/Kirkwood/Armour/Cooper. I understand a branch of the Armours made their way to Australia as well. Peter's family traces to Scotland on his mother's side and Melbourne, Australia then Denmark on his father's side. Actually Peter's dad was born in Melbourne, then moved to England and on to Canada then the USA.

William married Margaret Doreen Nicol, daughter of John Donald Nicol and Margaret Inglis. (Margaret Doreen Nicol was born in 1917 and died in 1971.)
