Mabel Bidmead (my Grandma) nee Lax was the eldest of 12 children.
Her father Charles Lax 1871-1914 m Hannah Hartopp 1875-1956 Charles Lax died when Hannah was pregnant with her last child, my Uncle Herbert 1914-1971.
My Mum was the eldest grandchild and I was her first Great-grandchild. I was 12 when she died, so I knew her very well.

Mabel married Herbert Arthur Bidmead, son of Arthur Vernon Bidmead and Ellen Eliza Hadley, on 20 May 1918 in Coventry, Warwickshire England. (Herbert Arthur Bidmead was born on 1 Feb 1897 in Coventry, Warwickshire England and died in Dec 1976 in Coventry, Warwickshire England.)
