Ken Gray notes: William Cleave Robinson, son of Jabil and t. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. His parents came from Leighton Buzzard, Buckinghamshire, England. He was a contractor and construction engineer. He was Supt. of construction of the Southern Railway in 1870. Canadian Pacific, 1886-1887; contractor on the Quebec Contra, Virginia and Long Lake Railway, Calgary and Edmonton Railway, Calgary and McLoud Railway; Also, Crow's Nest and Yukon Railway, (Alaska) 1898-1900). Opened Bearing River coal and oil fields of Alaska; supt. of construction of large concrete dam for Montreal Light, Heat and Power Company at Chamberly, Quebec; also constructed power plant at Ft. William, Ontario; Supt. Const. of Montreal wharf sheds for Canadian government; Supt. Const. of Copper River Railway (Alaska), 1907-1911. He owns a nice home (where he resides - 1914) in North Anson, and considerable other property in and near the town.
William married Evie Holmes Gray, daughter of Stickney Gray and Ellen Louise Caswell, on 3 Sep 1888. (Evie Holmes Gray was born on 3 Aug 1863 in North Anson, Somerset County, Maine USA.)
