Robert Welton is on the 1881 British Census, widowed, age 86 (b Ashwelthorpe Norfolk, an Annuitant. He is living at Cock Street, Wymondham, Norfolk with his niece, Eliza Clarke, who is head of the household, aged 51, unmarried born Wymondham Norfolk and, I believe, daughter of Robert's sister. (I have yet to find a record for a sister - it could, of course be the daughter of his wife's sister?).
I have not found any records for children of Robert and Mary. There was a Robert Welton (in 1875 recorded as Robert Wetson) who was the licensee of the Rose and Crown Hotel at Wymondham Norfold from 1861 to 1877.
There is a death record for Mary Welton in the Depwade District in December 1837 who may be his wife. Robert died in Forehoe in September 1881, aged 87 years (vol 4b p 111)
