  Research Notes:

Source: Raymond John Morris who notes:
Samuel was reputedly, chief piledriver on the construction of the Fremantle harbour.
The MORRISs trace their roots/origins back to the Langport/Barrington area of Somerset; various MORRIS families (brothers, cousins and in-laws) commenced emigrating to NSW in 1849 and also into the 1850's. ( Samuel was the first of his siblings to be born in Australia; four were born in England, one born en route to Australia and two more born in Australia after Samuel )

Samuel married Mary Ryan, daughter of Patrick Ryan and Joanna / Johanna Dwan / Dawn / Devon, in 1885 in Rockymouth, Maclean District, NSW Australia. (Mary Ryan was born circa 1860.)
