Research Notes:
Denise Goldsbury notes: I hope you remember me. I emailed you querying Richard Collis because my ggg grandfather Henry and his wife had their son baptised in Warminster on the same day and same church in 1824 as Richard and Jane's Maria. Well, I have had a dna test, and I have been matched to Richard's descendants, which has proved I am related also to Richard. Bad news is that Richard's and Henry's relationship hasn't been established still, nor either of their birth places or exact dates of birth. Anyway, it's fun trying. Also, being an Ancestry member has been enlightening. A few of us are still searching. Probably going over old ground. A bit of a mystery also about Richard being in the Dorset Militia around the time he married Jane if he was born in Devon. Maybe he was in both.
One day it will see the light of day.
