She was baptised on Saturday, 21 March 1857 at Yass. It is unusual that she was baptised as Church of England - the other children of Donald & Margaret were baptised as Presbyterians. However, despite her given name she was known widely as Fanny.


Frances married John William Aplett circa 1876. (John William Aplett was born on 12 Apr 1825 in Castlereagh, NSW Australia, died on 8 Nov 1936 in Petersham, Sydney, NSW Australia and was buried on 10 Nov 1936 in Orange, NSW Australia.)
