  General Notes:

source: Jane_Kemp who notes:
My Grandmother's parents were 1st cousins you will see in the information I have attached that Jennie Hay marries a James Hay. James was William Hay's sisters son. He was born out of wed lock, in fact his father John Duff never knew about him. Even James didn't know his father. John Duff was never mentioned on any of James's documents and who his father was, was a complete mystery for YEARS. Until, I travelled to where James was born and when I asked for his birth certificate there was an error on his birth date by a few days and some tiny tiny handwriting on it saying to go to a page number in another book of corrections of errors. There was a whole page of information in the book on James Hay's birth and in it said the son of Maggie Hay, domestic servant and John Duff, farm servant. As a result, of this finally my Grandmother knew the name of her Grandfather who not even her father knew.

Noted events in her life were:

• connection.

Jennie married James Hay, son of John Duff and Margaret Hay, in 1911. (James Hay was born on 12 Jan 1880 in Urquhart, Inveness, Scotland UK and died on 23 Jan 1957 in Sydney Hospital, 30 Ann St, Surrey Hills, Sydney, NSW Australia.)
