  General Notes:

Arrived Port Phillip 1854 on the Marlborough 1293 tons which sailed from London under the Master Allen William Young with 105 passengers plus crew.He was 25? when he embarked and his stated occupation was Carpenter.

  Research Notes:

source: & Helen Aston who notes:
Henry James Aston sailed over when he was 25 by himself. His mother (Elizabeth Gaylor- was already deceased), soon after he landed he must of meet Mary Jane Crowle as she had came over in 1847 with her family on the David Malcolm.
They got married in 1856 in Richmond Victoria.
Then by 1891 they moved to Landsborough. I would have to say the Aston family must of been a well known family because their is a street named after them. The butcher that Charles Aston (Henry's son) opened is still standing and the W Aston is still up on the sign (his son William Lawrence took over the business after Charles died). The butcher is not in use the windows are all boarded up.
