In 1856 Caroline's father James purchased the Thorn estate in its entirety has been subdivided into 20 farms and put up for sale in 1856. The whole portion was bought for £900, and when the land was surveyed the area was found to be 723 acres.
A Deed of Conveyance in 1873 gave Caroline 107 acres , an area roughly from George Street to Parkes Street, Thornleigh.

Caroline married William McMullen, son of George McMullen and Sarah Catherine Carr, on 25 Mar 1849 in Wollombi, NSW Australia. (William McMullen was born on 13 Oct 1820 in Fermanagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland UK and died in 1903 in Wollombi, NSW Australia.)
