According to the Sydney Gazette, Jane was the first woman to attain the status of great-grandmother in the colony since its establishment.

Jane married Thomas Rose on 8 Aug 1779 in Sturminster, Dorset England. (Thomas Rose was born in 1749 in Blandford, Dorset England, died on 15 Nov 1833 in Wilberforce, County of Cumberland, NSW Australia and was buried in St Johns, Wilberforce, NSW Australia.)
