• source. Doug Hooper who notes: Grant completed an apprenticeship as a bootmaker and was Apprentice Bootmaker of the year in Victoria for each year of his training. He also studied Orthopeadic Bootmaking and worked as Production Manager with Adidas. He left that organisation and began a career in the Funeral Parlour industry. After setting up a business in Canberra, he moved to Townsville to manage a business there.
