Gregory James Hooper

• source. Doug Hooper who notes: Greg was first employed by Fletcher Jones & Sons who produced men's suits, trousers and coats. He then spent a number of years working in the Insurance, Motor Vehicle and Tobacco industries until he joined the SA Police Force.

He progressed through various areas of the force until he gained a position in the CIB. He was stationed at Holden Hill, Elizabeth, Mt Gambier and finally at Adelaide. It was whilst at Mt Gambier that he firmly established a reputation as a top class detective and was highly regarded and liked in the community.

Following his transfer to Adelaide he resigned from the Police Force and returned to Mt Gambier to be with Joylene. They went into business together in a Take Away Chicken shop which they sold after Greg gained employment at the Mt Gambier Private Prison where he is now a supervisor.

He retired in September 2007.
