His funeral service was held at the Heysen Chapel at Centennial Park Cemetery at 3.30pm on Monday, 31st August 2009.
Frank was employed by Public Benefits, Metters and then Southern Model Supplies. He then took over the operation of a Mobil Service Station firstly at South Brighton and later at Morphett Vale. He worked in the Hotel and Private Club industries for a number of years until he was offered a position with Santos at the Moomba Gas Fields.
After a lengthy period of employment with Santos he accepted a redundancy package and went into semi-retirement. He filled in some of his time doing gardening and grounds maintenance work and following an accident in which he fell from a roof and shattered his leg in the rungs of a ladder forcing him to retire.
He was actively involved with the Lions Club of Brighton and received the highest award presented to a member of that organisation.
He loved brewing his home made beer and travelling with the camper trailer.
Maxwell married Maxine Lorraine Dawson, daughter of Alan Keith Dawson and Lillian Hazel Hampton, on 11 Oct 1958 in Westbourne Park Methodist Church, South Australia. (Maxine Lorraine Dawson was born circa 1940.)
