• source. Doug Hooper who notes: He served in the Australian Army during WWII having enlisted at Northfield, SA on 8 March 1943. He was discharged on 6 February 1946 with the rank of Private from the 101 Australian General Hospital. At the time of his enlistment he was a Shopkeeper and lived at 169 Burke Street, Railwaytown in Broken Hill.
