  General Notes:

Marriage certificate stated he was born in Dublin, Ireland but Death certificate says Yorkshire, England

Thomas lied about his age in 1915 (WW1) and said he was born in 1897 to get into the Australian Army.

WW2 Australian Nominal Roll states he was born in Craven Arms, England. Thomas again lied about his age to get back into the Army in 1941 and told them he was born 5 January 1904. He was a Driver (N281122) and was discharged from the Army on 22 November 1944. His company was 3 Auxiliary Horse Transport

Emigrated to NSW, Australia at the age of 14???

Lived in Trundle and Griffith (when it was called Bagtown sometime after 1911), New South Wales for 53 years
Lived in Victoria for 15 years.

Had an older brother that apparently did not emigrate with the family to Australia by the name of Arthur. It is also believed that there was a sister but died on the ship on the way to Australia. Michael and Elizabeth may have returned to England after the war.

(Eva Lillias Slater was born on 9 Jul 1912 in Beaufort, Victoria Australia, died on 28 Dec 1993 in Beaufort, Victoria Australia and was buried in Beaufort Cemetery, Victoria Australia.). The cause of her death was Heart Attack.
