• source. Colleen Phillips who notes: A native of Forbes Mr Ernst James Bray aged 79, who has lived Calarie for a great many years, suffered a heart attack last Friday night and passed away. Deceased was the son of the late Mr William Bray who had a brewery at Forbes in the early days and also a pickle factory. His wife predeceased him about six years ago. A large grown up family survives. The sons are Messrs Brent, Walter, Reuben, Phillip, Kenneth,(Forbes), Ernest (Barellan) and Hector(Gunnedah), while daughters Ivy, Florence and Olive of Forbes. One sister Mrs G Wooldridge Parkes Road Forbes also survives. The funeral on Sunday morning was to the Jehovahs Witness section of Forbes cemetery.

Ernest married Rose Evelyn Woolridge, daughter of John Woolridge and Mary Ann Littlewood, on 11 Aug 1911 in Forbes, NSW Australia. (Rose Evelyn Woolridge was born in 1889 in Parkes, NSW Australia and died on 28 Jan 1955 in Forbes, NSW Australia.)
