He was described as a 30 year old widower of c/- Dr Robertson, Althorpe, Doncaster.. He was described as 'like Rowan.' He volunteered for anything and in 1915 joined the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force in Egypt and later went onto the hospital runs from Egypt, Salonica and Malta. From 1917 to 1919 he served in France. Charles married Blanche Florence J. Weaver circa Jun 1913 in Plymouth, Devon England. (Blanche Florence J. Weaver was born circa 1885.) Charles next married Kathryn Joyce Peter on 9 Jul 1918 in St Mary Magdalene, Launceston, Cornwall England. (Kathryn Joyce Peter was born circa 1890.) |
