Gladys Bonehill

Gladys trained as a childrens nurse. She had an illegitimate child Edward. Phyrne told me she was always ashamed of Edward and although she looked after him she could never come to terms with the fact he was illegitimate. Husband Bert was in the RA on defence of Merchant ships during the war . In 1946 they travelled to Rhodisia . Bert died there but Gladys eventually returned . She had her leg amputated and died approx 1992. Her nickname was Girlie. She was an excellent ballroom dancer .

Gladys married Bert Potter in 1933 in Wirral, Merseyside England. (Bert Potter was born circa 1905.)
