My research into the BRYANT family came about by researching WALTER McKINNIN (My Family's Step Father & Father) who when marrying Margaret Ellen BRYANT (Youngest Daughter of Herbert John Hill BRYANT & Jane Mary BARRASS)
14 Nov 1942, Gladesville; Walter claimed to be 28, Born Belfast, Ireland:
Father John McKINNIN - Engine Driver & Mother Mary KELLY; Walter telling Family he was Born 1900, but; no Birth has been found for him in Belfast, Ireland 1900-1914, nor as yet; has a Marriage been found for his Parents.
Walter was (Died 1989) very much a mystery man in that despite years of searching; no trace has been found of him in Australia prior to his marriage to Margaret Ellen BRYANT, despite him telling family he came out to Australia when 13/14 and again when 16; jumping ship and working a farm in Western Australia with a Brother.
Walter also claimed he worked in the Mines in Kalgoorlie.
