Robert married Mary Playsted, daughter of William Playsted and Ruth Berry (Nee Passmore), on 12 Nov 1897 in Wadhurst, East Sussex England. (Mary Playsted was born on 22 Dec 1880 in "Coombe Cottage", Wadhurst, Sussex England and died in 1963 in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.)
