Charles Cock (born 31 Mar 1889) died within two weeks of one another in April 1919 of the influenza epidemic that swept the world after World War I (killing more people than died in the war itself). Charles caught the 'flu after returning to
Tamworth for the funeral of John who died on 8th April. According to a local history of Tamworth (Queen of the North 1919-1945), a yellow flag was flown over their house, people who had contact with Charles were quarantined, and four special
constables were appointed to supervise his contacts with other people. Charles died on the 18th April 1919.

Charles married Elsie Constance Whiteman, daughter of Charles Thomas Whiteman and Ann Bensley, in 1917 in Burrowa, (later changed to Boorowa) NSW Australia.935 (Elsie Constance Whiteman was born on 26 Nov 1894 in Camden, NSW Australia and died on 3 Aug 1967 in Killara, Sydney, NSW Australia.)
