There is a birth certificate for George Alfred Train, born 15/12/1867 at Rylstone whose mother is shown as Jessie Train (born at Bowenfels, age 21), father: illegitimate. Present at the birth was Mrs Featherstone (a Mrs Isabella Featherstone was a witness of GeorgeTrain snr's will). George Alfred is listed as the brother of Matilda Adelaide Train, born at Keppel St Bathurst on 12/8/ 1871 to Maria Jessie McPhellemy (born Manning River,age 24) father George Train, teamster (born Sydney, age 25). these certificates cause quite a bit of confusion as to who George Alfred and Matilda's paretns actusally are. One scenario is that George Jnr was the father and was the de facto of Maria McPhellamy (sister to Jessie's two McPhillamy sister-in-laws and who lived on the property of Bymair, Bogee, (opposite property to where the Trains lived at Tea Tree Swamp, Bogee).
There is a Maria McPhellamy who married Charles Pitcher in Bathurst in 1871 so it is possible that she is the mother although this contradicts George Alfred's birth certificate.. George Alfred's marriage certifcate to Mary Mary Norris from Waterford, Ireland on 25/4/1910 at Sacred Heart Chrurch (RC), Murwillumbah, shows him as a batchelor, occupation sawyer, birthplace Mudgee, age 35 (which is wrtong as he would have been 41 but as his bride was only 25 he may have changed it to make himself younger), residence Tweed Heads, father Geroge Train (deceased), farmer - George Jnr died a year later in 1911if he was his father, mother Jessie Harrison (deceased).
